You will be relieved to hear it seems to be over now, but let me tell you – we needed three blankets on the bed! Forget the air conditioning - we closed our windows! We wore pants and sweaters and closed toed shoes for two whole days. Of course all the tourists were still in shorts…. Crazy tourists!
We even put a sweater on our dog as she appeared to be shivering –she was born in Mexico so she would feel such a drastic drop in temperature.
Actually it was fun. We played a DVD of a fire on the TV and drank hot chocolate. That is my advice for the best way to survive a Mexican cold snap.
This may sound funny but we really did these things. Your body just gets used to the heat I guess. Now what if we got snow???
