To me, a Bird of paradise flower says “the tropics”. Ever since I saw them in Hawaii, I always thought it would be very cool to have a bird of paradise flower in my yard.
Two years ago we purchased a bird of paradise plant for our yard here in Mexico. I have faithfully watered it and nurtured it with love. In two years it had not produced even one flower.
Today I am happy to tell you that my bird of paradise plant has its first bloom! I share my happiness with you! I guess some things are just worth waiting for.
Enjoy the Adventure! Suzanne

Aww...they really are gorgeous, and truthfully do remind me of Hawaii!!!
Gorgeous!
Birds of paradise are such gorgeous flowers. My hubby always includes a couple of them when he gives my flowers. And there are quite a few plants in the town's "jardin". No matter where life take me, birds of paradise will always remind me of Mexico.
